Wenatchee, East Wenatchee and up the valley
Sasquatch Electrical is based in Ellensburg, over Blewett Pass from Wenatchee, and the Wenatchee Valley is part of our regular service area. We take commercial and residential work in Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, Cashmere and Leavenworth — service and panel upgrades, EV chargers, generators, lighting, tenant improvements and new construction.
Power and Permits in the Valley
Two PUDs, one river
The Columbia splits the valley between two utilities. Wenatchee and the Chelan County side are served by Chelan County PUD; East Wenatchee and the Douglas County side by Douglas County PUD. Each has its own process for a service disconnect, a new meter base or a new service, and we schedule the work around theirs. Your power bill settles which one you’re on.
Electrical permits and inspections go through the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries — neither Wenatchee nor East Wenatchee runs its own electrical inspection program. We pull the permit and handle the inspection, and on some jobs L&I can inspect by video call, which keeps the schedule moving.
What We’re Called For
- Commercial electrical — tenant improvements, service upgrades, three-phase and lighting for businesses and facilities.
- Panel and service upgrades — obsolete panels, and 200- or 400-amp services for homes adding a heat pump, a shop or an EV.
- EV charger installation — a load calculation first, and an honest answer on whether you need an upgrade.
- New construction — new homes, shops and additions, with the PUD application started early.
- Generator installation and lighting — backup power and LED retrofits for homes and businesses.
Wenatchee Valley Electrical FAQ
Do you really come to Wenatchee from Ellensburg? Yes. The Wenatchee Valley is part of our regular service area, not a special trip.
Do you charge travel? It depends on the job. We’ll tell you exactly how travel is handled before we come out, and every estimate is written and itemized.
Who issues electrical permits in Wenatchee? Washington L&I. We pull the permit and handle the inspection as part of the job.
Does the PSE EV charger rebate apply here? No. That rebate is for Puget Sound Energy customers, and the valley is served by the Chelan and Douglas County PUDs. If your PUD offers an incentive, we’ll tell you before you budget around it.
