Moses Lake, Quincy, Ephrata and the basin
Sasquatch Electrical is based in Ellensburg, straight out I-90 from Moses Lake, and the Grant County basin is part of our regular service area. We take commercial and residential work in Moses Lake, Quincy, Ephrata, Royal City and out to Othello — service upgrades, shops and outbuildings, EV chargers, lighting, tenant improvements and new construction.
Power and Permits in Grant County
PUD power, state permits
Most of the basin is served by Grant County PUD, which has its own process for a service disconnect, a new meter base or a new service. We coordinate with them and schedule the work around their calendar. Your power bill settles who serves your address.
Electrical permits and inspections go through the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries — none of the basin’s cities runs its own electrical inspection program. We pull the permit and handle the inspection, and on some jobs L&I can inspect by video call instead of a site visit, which helps on jobs this far from our shop.
What We’re Called For
- Commercial electrical — tenant improvements, service upgrades, three-phase distribution and motor controls.
- New construction — new homes, shops and pole buildings, with the PUD application started early.
- Panel and service upgrades — 200- or 400-amp services for properties adding a shop, a heat pump or an EV.
- EV charger installation — homes, workplaces and fleets, starting with a load calculation.
- Lighting — LED retrofits, controls, and shop, yard and parking lot lighting.
